Rule 163
Proceedings of the Impeachment Recommendation Committee
(1) According to rule 161, after receiving the proposal of impeachment, the impeachment recommendation committee shall start the proceedings as soon as possible.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), after the initiation of proceedings, the committee shall conduct necessary investigation by giving reasonable opportunity to the accused official to present the explanation of the allegations against him within seven days.
(3) If the explanation submitted in accordance with sub-rule (2) is not satisfactory or if such official does not appear and submit an explanation within the specified period, the impeachment recommendation committee will submit a report with its recommendation to the House.
(4) The impeachment recommendation committee shall submit a report with recommendations within a maximum of three months from the date of initiation of its proceedings.
(5) The impeachment recommendation committee will manage its own internal procedures.
